Pulsifer Family Tree, part 2

63 generations to the 2nd Century B.C.

We have been extraordinarily successful in tracing our father's side of the tree.

However, we are asking for a little assistance on our mother's side of the tree as we have only been able to trace her back 3 generations.

If you are a Shedden, Hodges or Lewis then we invite you to visit the link below and see if any of the names in her ancestry are also in your family tree. If they are we would greatly appreciate hearing from you so that we can expand that side of the tree. Please click the link that follows, and then scroll to the bottom right side of the page:

If you have any information please click the "comment" link at the bottom of this posting.

This all started as a "weekend" project because we wondered (as, we are sure, many families do) if our family had any famous ancestors. Well, as it turns out, our great(x5) grandaddy married really well. His wife, Susanna Waters, was a 12th generation descendent of King Edward I "Longshanks" of England. The beauty of finding even one famous ancestor is that his ancestry is well spelled out in numerous encyclopedias and history books. From there the trace was easy. Some of our more notable ancestors include Lady Godiva, El Cid Campeador, Old King Cole (yes, he was a real person although his name was actually King Coel the Old), William the Conqueror, Charlemagne, Ivar the Boneless, Brian Boru and a list of over 100 kings, emperors and czars all of whom are direct blood ancestors. We were stunned.

We also found a couple of interesting uncles. One of our ancestors is John the Lackland who, as Prince John, was the antagonist in the Robin Hood fables and then, as King John, signed the Magna Carta at Runnymede. The original "Richard the Lionheart" King Richard I was his brother. Another ancestor is Boleslaus I Prince of Bohemia. His brother was Saint Wenceslaus known to us all as "Good King Wenceslaus" of the Christmas Carol fame.

If you are of the Pulsifer clan, or have some Pulsifers in your family tree, we invite you to visit our tree where, perhaps, you will find some of your ancestors:
